Who are Agents?
Agents are the professional sales representatives of Local4all.com and Local4all Internet advertising products

What do Agents do?
Agents point out to business owners the differences in benefits and cost of other types of advertising products compared to Local4All products. Most Local4all.com customers can increase their company's return on investment in advertising - using Local4All in conjunction with other types of advertising or as a stand-alone product.

Is there an age limit?
Because state laws vary, Local4All.com will only register Agents 18 and older. If younger than 18, applicants should have their parent or guardian become an Agent and they can work together.

I don't know much about the Internet. Can I become an Agent?
Since Local4All.com is a simplified internet-based service, only a basic knowledge of the internet is needed. As long as a person can log onto the internet, type in Local4all.com, navigate their way to the 'forms' section and fill out the easy-to-use form(s), an Agent can be successful. If you aren't familiar with computers at all, just ask someone to help you or work out a partnership with a friend. You'll be up and running in no time!

What if I can't answer technical questions for customers?
Local4all.com's core products require very little knowledge of hardware and software because of the simplified nature of the website. You can probably find a local computer club or class if this is an issue.

The Local4All website should be easy to use because of its design with usability in mind. If you have any problems of this type, please call Local4All Customer Support at 724-548-5716 or send email to carl@local4all.com.

How can I personally add value to make sales easier?
More successful Agents will show businesses how to make themselves more visible to customers at little or no extra cost over the annual subscription. Agents should memorize one URL to help businesses get this information - b2.local4all.com. Agents and businesses should check this page occasionally for updates including articles on how to advertise more effectively.

What is your compensation plan?
One example is shown in the table below. For more, check the Agent Compensation Plan.

Example:

An Agent at Level 4 sells an enhanced brochure for $180. Sixty dollars ($60) is available for compensation. The Agent has the option to take $48 and have $12 donated to a local charity, or can choose other splits by changing the percentage in your individual Agent profile.

How often do we get paid? What are the cutoff dates?
Checks or electronic disbursements are distributed every two weeks. Cutoff dates are every other Saturday, end of the day.

How do I sign up?
If you already have a Local4All username and password, log in and look for "Become an Agent" under the header "Account Administration" on the Toolbox page. Otherwise, create a personal account and then sign up as an Agent. Create an account now

What do I tell customers when I approach them?
Familiarize yourself with the Business Tips page and information linked to the page. It was created to help you be successful and your customers be more successful using Local4All advertising products.

A suggestion is to print what you consider the most relevant pages so you can refer to them during a conversation. It is a good practice to leave at least one printed page of information with a prospect. Be honest with the customer and answer questions.

Best product choices:

  • If your prospect has no website, a Community Sponsorship ("Basic Brochure") is a simple and effective method of delivering information to customers on a single page, plus its unique URL works well to extend other advertising - print, radio, TV, etc.
  • If your prospect already has a website, an inexpensive Hometown Sponsorship (HS) link works well or, depending on the type of business, our Sponsorship with Ratings and Testimonials ("Enhanced Brochure") might do better.
Regardless of what type of business or their current advertising budget, their goal is sales and we provide simple and effective online advertising to help them accomplish that goal.

Is there any advanced training for Agents?
At the present time, we offer training only in western PA, eastern Ohio, online and by email. Send an email with your location and we'll see what works best.

I'm on assistance. If I earn too much, I'll lose some of my benefits. Can I make sure that doesn't happen?
We've anticipated that situation and you can set your compensation level down to zero or a lower percentage temporarily and then move it back up when you're ready. Your Agent level determines your maximum compensation; you pick the rate you're comfortable with.
